EnableLeads tells you about the few things that need you: a new lead, a contact handed to you, a task someone gave you, a reply from a contact, and your tasks for the day. You see them in the bell at the top, as alerts on your phone or computer if you turn them on, and in one email each morning. You choose which of them you want.

The bell

Choose the bell in the top bar. A red number on it counts what is new since you last opened it (it shows 9+ above nine).

  • Due today, overdue: if you have tasks to do, the top row reads, for example, "3 due today, 2 overdue" with Open your tasks, which opens your Task Flow. It counts only your own active tasks. ASAP tasks count as due today. Waiting for and Queued tasks are never counted. See your daily task list.
  • New lead: a lead that came in through Facebook or a webhook in the last 7 days and is yours.
  • "Someone assigned a contact to you": another person handed you a contact. If they handed over several at once, it says "and 4 more".
  • "Someone gave you a task": a task another person created for you that is still to do.
  • "A contact replied": a reply email from one of your contacts, filed by someone else.

Choose any item to open the contact. Items stay for 7 days, newest first (up to 20), and then drop off. There is no button to dismiss one: opening the bell just marks what you have seen. Everyone sees only their own items. The bell refreshes when you open it and when you come back to the tab after a couple of minutes.

Get alerts on your phone or computer

The bell can also send an alert to the device you are using, even when EnableLeads is closed.

  1. Choose the bell, then Turn on next to Get alerts on this device.
  2. Your browser asks for permission. Choose Allow. You see "Alerts are on for this device".

It is set for each device and browser, so turn it on once on your phone and once on your computer if you want both. To stop, choose Turn off in the same place.

The alerts are the same four as the bell: New lead, Contact assigned to you, New task for you and Reply from a contact. Tap one to open the contact. You are never alerted about something you did yourself, such as a contact you assigned to yourself. There is no alert for task reminders; those come in the morning email.

On an iPhone, alerts only work from the installed app. Open EnableLeads in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and open EnableLeads from that icon. Then turn alerts on from the bell. On Android and computers you can also install it from your browser's menu.

If it says "Alerts are blocked for this site", allow notifications for the site in your browser settings and try again.

The morning email

Every morning at 8:00 AM India time you get one email if there is something to say:

  • Your tasks that are due today or overdue (ordinary tasks, and any ASAP ones), with the most urgent first. The email shows up to five with a link to each, and "…and N more" for the rest. Open your tasks takes you to your Task Flow.
  • Leads nobody has called. Leads from Facebook or a webhook that came in during the last 7 days, are older than your business's target (one hour to begin with) and have had no call, email, meeting or message yet. Each goes to whoever it is assigned to. Open Contacts takes you to them. An Admin sets the target in Insights with the small gear on Lead Response.

If you have nothing due and no waiting leads, no email is sent. It comes at most once a day. If you are in more than one business, you get one email covering them all, with a section for each. Everyone gets it at the same time: there is no time zone setting.

Choose what reaches you

  1. Choose your name at the top right, then My profile.
  2. Under Notify me, tick or untick: - With my tasks by email every morning - When a new lead comes in for me - When a contact is assigned to me - When someone gives me a task - When a contact replies by email
  3. Choose Save.

All five start on. The last four switch both the bell and the alerts on your devices for that kind of news. The first one is the morning email.

Admins can switch the morning email off for the whole business in Settings → Workspace, with Morning task email. When it is off, nobody gets it, even if they have it ticked on their profile.

If it does not work

  • I get no morning email. Check With my tasks by email every morning on My profile, and that your email address is confirmed. Then check the junk folder. If you had no due tasks or waiting leads, none is sent. An Admin may have switched it off for the business.
  • The bell is empty. It shows only the last 7 days, and only things that involve you. A lead that was not assigned to you does not appear.
  • There is no Turn on button. Your browser may not support alerts. On an iPhone, open EnableLeads from the Home Screen icon.
  • I turned alerts on but nothing arrives. Check the browser or phone settings have not blocked notifications for EnableLeads, and that the kind of news is ticked on My profile.
  • I am getting too many. Untick the kinds you do not need on My profile, or choose Turn off in the bell on that device.
